JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Technician
Reports to: Quality Manager

COMPANY BACKGROUND: Located in Springfield Ohio, SelectTech GeoSpatial Advanced Manufacturing Facility (SGAMF) is an entity engaged in creating fast, best-value solutions for its customers. While US DoD customers provide the bulk of marketing opportunities, related commercial customers also gain from our products and services.

JOB SUMMARY: This position requires flexibility and will support and promote the objectives of the Quality Management System throughout the facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Part inspection using various hand gages such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters
• Collection and analysis of inspection data to compare to prints/specifications for accept/reject
• Collection and tracking of nonconforming materials
• Lead/support Root Cause investigations
• Preparation of FAI reports, data, deviation requests, etc. for customers
• Creation/Revision of written work instructions
• Submission of CA/PA requests to suppliers
• Preparation of Supplier ratings reports

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job:

• Has demonstrated that Safety is his/her number one operating priority
• An associate degree in Quality Technology or similar is preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment – 10 years minimum
• Blueprint reading – GD&T working knowledge
• Capable of using various gages and measurement devices
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office suite products
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task
• Ability to be team member and communicate effectively with others
• Motivated and demonstrates ability to be self-directed

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS: Motor Vehicle, Drug Screen, Criminal Background Check, Reading, Algebraic and Trigonometry comprehension

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment up to 25 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, sitting, or walking
