Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing assembly and technical support for the manufacture of components, assembly and test of company products.
Additionally, this function will communicate daily metrics including safety, quality, delivery, costs and area performance and works closely with the manufacturing supervisor. This position requires flexibility and will support all manufacturing, assembly and testing functions.
 
SCOPE:  This is the primary value-add position in the manufacturing operation. The Technician will be responsible for learning work instructions and processes for all assembly and technical requirements. This position will be involved with component manufacturing, system assembly, system integration, system testing and other tasks as needed.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
  • Has demonstrated that Safety is his/her number one operating priority.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand all work instructions and safety information.
  • Able to properly use basic hand tools (Screwdrivers, Wrenches, Sockets, etc.).
  • Able to accurately use basic measuring tools (Scales, Measuring Tape).
  • Able to properly use basic power tools (Hand Drill, Power Screwdriver).
  • Ability to properly and accurately use advanced hand, and power tools. (Angle grinders, Saws, Countersinks, Rivet setters, Air hammers etc.).
  • Able to accurately use vernier calipers and micrometers (Digital & Analog).
  • Able to cut metal accurately and squarely with common shop tools, such as Sheet metal Shear, and Horizontal Band Saw.
  • Basic computer skills such as: PC information input, and ability to learn basic systems for daily production data input a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills and proactive actions in previous assignments, team building skills, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a high powered manufacturing team.
