Job Description
Engineering Technician (ET-V)
This position requires the ability to provide electronic design, printed circuit design/prototyping, embedded system microcontroller programming, and serve as an expert for specific aspects of Roll-on Roll-off (RORO) aircraft system design, including installation and aircraft subsystem power and signal wiring. 
Additional duties will include writing and editing technical references, system block diagrams, procedures and detailed checklists for electronic systems maintenance and operation. 

Other valuable attributes to fulfill this job include:
 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with program managers, engineers, programmers, contractors and end-users
  • Knowledge of line-of-sight UHF ground and airborne radio systems and cryptographic equipment
  • Competency on a variety of electronic test equipment and tools, soldering and ESD procedures
  • Ability to resolve design and operational problems, and make decisions in situations where standard engineering methods, procedures, and techniques may not be applicable
  • Ability to perform the planning, design, fabrication, modification, overhaul, repair, maintenance and calibration of laboratory, aircraft RORO modules, experimental, test and flight-test, instrumentation, special devices, computers, controllers and data processing equipment utilized by this organization

Minimum 8 years of related or applicable experience required
Engineering / Electronics degree required
Secret Security Clearance required and must be maintained
