Job Description
Job Summary:  The Proposal Writer/Manager creates, modifies, and coordinates the writing of business development proposals for the SelectTech Services Business Development and Operations teams. This position is located at our corporate office in Centerville, Ohio.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for the Corporate Proposal Management process
  • Review/assess customer solicitation packages to develop proposal response and compliance plans;
  • Develop proposal volume outlines, compliance matrices, and proposal schedules;
  • Coordinate the gathering of proposal content (text, graphics, past performance examples, resumes, etc.) by ensuring the right Subject Matter Experts are identified and assigned to write and deliver proposal content in time to meet scheduled reviews;
  • Review and perform light editing and formatting of proposal content as required to ensure completeness and compliance with solicitation requirements;  
  • Schedule and facilitate proposal stage reviews and coordinate (with the review team and the writing team) proposal updates in preparation for the next review phase;
  • Assist the assigned Capture Managers with process content for Kickoff Meeting briefings;
  • Maintain/improve) the company’s proposal library/database and proposal information files
  • Work with the Director of Business Development and Capture Managers to maintain an up-to-date inventory of the status of opportunities the company is tracking;
  • Create (and update) proposal templates to serve as initial versions of proposal volumes;

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Prepare summaries and reports for strategic and operational plan updates;
  • Assist the Business Development and Capture Teams with pre-proposal opportunity assessment, professional presentations, and capture activities;
  • Other relevant duties as directed by Corporate leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Experience producing quality Federal government proposals.
  • Familiarity with the federal government’s contracting process.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication, writing, and organization.
  • Able to work effectively, with limited supervision, as part of a team.
  • Good reasoning abilities, sound judgment, resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office (advanced skills in Word are particularly relevant) and Adobe applications; any experience/expertise with computer graphics applications would also be very desirable.
