Material Handler Laborer/Cleaner - TEMPORARY

Job Description
SelectTech Services is in need of a temporary Material Handler for approximately three (3) months.
The MHL assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning working area, machine, and equipment; assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by journeyman. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to trade. In some trades the helper is confined to supplying, lifting, and holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas and in others, the worker is permitted to perform specialized machine operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis. Some of this tasking shall require journeyman level support within this task order’s scope. Work performed in this category does not exempt this contractor from quality standards within this document. Tasking examples could include changing light bulbs/light ballasts, hanging white boards/coat racks/shelving, set-ups for special events, snow removal, pictures hung, painting, installing missing or damaged ceiling tiles, installing missing damaged floor/carpet tiles, lending assistance to the skilled trade technicians in support of their tasking, moving furniture, fire extinguisher inspections/replacement, emergency shower inspections, escorting other support groups, door guards in the event of security concerns, installing computer keyboard trays, installation of compressed gas cylinder mounting brackets, decommission of gas cylinders.
Primary duty for this position hire is Facility Cleaning with specific duties to include:
Clean restrooms daily, verifying paper products are kept full, and floors and high touch areas are sanitized. (80% of the position requirement tasking is in support of this duty. 20% of the position requirement is in support of the following duties.)

- Sweeping/mopping common areas, fire escape stairwells, etc.
- Policing grounds and loading dock areas for refuse and trash.
- Assistance in paper shredding tasking.
- Sanitizing hand rails, trash receptacles, and etc.
- Dusting light fixtures in high and low areas.
- Performs special cleaning projects using automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, large wringers and other necessary cleaning equipment.
- Cleans up emergency spills including bodily fluids and disposing per base regulations.
