Job Description
This position is responsible for providing assembly and technical support for the manufacture of components, assembly, and test of company products.
Additionally, this function will communicate daily metrics including safety, quality, delivery, costs, and area performance and works closely with the manufacturing supervisor. This position requires flexibility and will support all manufacturing, assembly and testing functions. From time to time, this person may be asked to assist on other technical projects.

SCOPE:  This is a primary value-add position in the manufacturing operation. This position will be responsible for learning work instructions and processes for all assembly and technical requirements. This position will be involved with discrete, component level manufacturing, system assembly, system integration, system testing, and other tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
  • Has demonstrated that Safety is his/her number one operating priority.
  • Must have electronic technician certification or military equivalent with 12 years’ experience. An associate degree in electronic engineering technology is preferred.
  • Understands Basic Electronic Principals, such as Ohm’s Law, series, and parallel resistor circuits, inductance, and capacitance.
  • Ability to read and understand all work instructions and safety information.
  • Must be well organized and able to multi-task.
  • Have experience using electronic test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, and other related equipment.
  • Basic understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) principals.
  • Experienced and able to use hand tools, specialized crimpers, and small power tools.
  • Ability to assemble sub-assemblies and final assemblies per manufacturing work instructions.
  • Be experienced with soldering and de-soldering surface mount and through hole soldering components to a printed circuit board.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting to the sub-assembly level.
  • Have experience using product test and burn-in equipment.
  • Be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Basic computer skills such as: Microsoft Office-Suite and ability to learn basic systems for daily production data input a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills and proactive actions in previous assignments, team building skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive work attitude.
