Job Description
The CAD Operator shall be in the “field” verifying, investigating, and recording RY’s site conditions both above the drop ceiling and under raised floor systems to ensure reference drawings are current and accurate.  The operator shall develop “As-Built” drawings (including, but not limited to, MEP, architectural, civil) for existing conditions and after projects performed by outside Contractors and our facility contractors.  This operator shall perform drafting work on a government provided computer, requiring knowledge and skill in drafting methods, procedures, and techniques, prepares drawings of structures, facilities, land profiles, water/fire suppression/plumbing systems, electrical distribution/lighting/alarm/access control systems, steam distribution/HVAC/mechanical systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, pipelines, duct systems, and similar equipment, systems, and assemblies. Updates/changes will be required to be saved on the RY share point as instructed, with weekly changes provided on a disc to the COR. All drawings are the property of RY. Drawings are used to communicate engineering ideas, design, and information.  This operator shall use national CAD standards, which include recognized systems of symbols, legends, shadings, and lines having specific meanings in drawings.  The CAD Operator shall have working knowledge of Micro-Station and be proficient in AutoCAD.  The CAD operator will be responsible for procuring and managing the RYO licensing of this system on a yearly basis.
