Job Description
Engineering Technician IV (General Maintenance/Plumbing) primary duties are as follows:
  1. Performs Plumber duties as follows:
  1. Performs Plumber duties which require a working knowledge of water and drain systems and their components. Typical work includes installing in-line gages, regulators, valves, drainage lines, repairing, installing or replacing bathroom toilets and sinks, disassembly of plumbing to ensure no obstructions to fluid remains.
  2. Additional Plumber duties include installing, checkout, problem-solving, and removal of process piping, air lines, vacuum lines, nitrogen lines, including air regulators and filters.
  3. Tasking includes connecting utilities such as nitrogen, air, vacuum, and water to various types of research related equipment.   
  4. Operates various types of vehicles and equipment to include pick-up trucks, forklifts and single person man lifts. Performs preoperational inspections of equipment and vehicles before use.
  5. The contractor shall perform all activities to prepare an equipment item for turn-in, generating required documentation, purging fluids, removing any hazardous materials, and palletizing.
High School graduate or equivalent required. Computer Skills: Working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software required. Must be capable of passing a National Agency Check for potential security clearance.
