Torch Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Test and Evaluation Engineer located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio to support our EPASS GB contract. Within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. The Depot Maintenance Legacy Systems (DMLS) is a family of independent depot maintenance software applications that support operations at WR-ALC (Warner Robins AFB), OC-ALC (Tinker AFB), and OO-ALC (Hill AFB). DMLS manufacture and overhaul operational weapon systems parts and aircraft to ensure maximum Mission Capability (MICAP) for the warfighter.
Aircraft Maintenance Production/Compression Report (AMREP) - Inventory and schedule control; maintain depot maintenance status of aircraft
Depot Maintenance Workload Planning and Control System (DMWPCS) - Tracks results of workload and manpower planning activities
Information Systems Management Tool (ISMT) - Tracks info system requirements and trouble reports
Reparability Forecast Model (RFM) - Labor standards for production costing; Bill of Material(BOM) management and end item asset availability
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be able to provide Test and Evaluation (T&E) support for product lines, capability delivery teams, and development and delivery of BES Test Services. These shall be accomplished in accordance with DoD, AF, AFMC, AFLCMC, BES, product line, and/or capability delivery team, Acquisition and T&E policy, guidance processes and procedures, and standard tools and services. Key policy and guidance includes, but is not limited to, AFI 99-103, Capabilities Based Test and Evaluation and related policy and guidance. Duties include, but are not limited to:
The successful candidate possesses and demonstrates the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in the software test field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the software test discipline. Possesses a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in the software test field.
EDUCATION:
Minimum Recommended Education and Experience:
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or,
15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
