Job Description

Decypher is seeking Early Intervention Specialist candidates to support the ADCMS V contract at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. The successful candidate will possess the required education, skills, and experience called for in the contract as described below. US Citizenship and active NACI clearance required.

Responsibilities

* Providing oversight and accountability for Early Intervention Services (EIS), Related Services (RS), and special education programs in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), DODI 1342.12. Responsible for guiding, coordinating and managing the special education program provided to children with disabilities or at risk of having disabilities who are entitled to receive DOD privileges, benefits and services and to their families in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Provides early intervention services and/or school related services depending upon professional training, licensure, and credentialing as needed. Providers must have demonstrated competence in service delivery to infants/toddlers/school age children with disabilities and their families, and have documented skills in leadership, program administration, management of multidisciplinary teams, and interagency coordination.

* Plans, coordinates, and conducts workshops and in-service training for personnel, other community groups, and MTF personnel. Keeps current with developments in pertinent subject matter for certification, licensure and/or credentialing and participates in continuing education activities to maintain professional knowledge and expertise.

* Screening, Evaluation and Service Delivery: Provides and/or facilitates the delivery of early intervention and/or related services depending upon professional training, licensure, and credentialing as needed to support programs. Participates in the screening and/or evaluation of children by effectively administering, scoring, interpreting, and

sharing the results of standardized and criterion-referenced instruments. Conducts authentic assessment of children in natural settings as part of a multidisciplinary team. Participates in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and/or Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Delivers evidence-based early intervention and/or related services on an as needed basis for limited durations of time.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

Degree: Bachelor's Degree

Education: Complete formal program in special education from an accredited college or university.

Certification: Be certified in their professional discipline in one state or territory (as applicable).

Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience within the last 4 years in activities related to the provision of services to young children within an Individuals with Disabilities Education (IDEA) framework or setting.
