About this Position:

In this role, the Technical Lead will provide local technical leadership to team members conducting investigations for potential non-conforming part issues by determining root cause from drawing review and part layout. Focus is leading within daily technical operations and analyses to ensure overall problem resolution, report accuracy and content. The PSD Technical Lead will engage with associates across departments, divisions, to ensure containment of the issue is optimized. Minimizing or eliminating impact to GDP/Downtime and leading / coordinating large repair projects will be crucial to the role. The Technical Lead will develop individual technical skillset through frequent interactions and mentorship.

Responsibilities include:

* Perform root cause data analysis related to problem items. Serve as a technical leader to ensure parts meet the drawing and specifications to assure conformance. Serve as the subject matter expert and are responsible to address or elevated issues and implement countermeasure solutions. Ensure NARS reports and technical analysis problem summaries effectively communicate the concern in a concise and logical manner based on data evaluation of spec vs actual.

* Lead root cause investigation and prevention for assigned problem items to assure problem containment of parts and completed body units. Analyse parts through dimensional part layout, drawing or design change reviews to determine area of cause from inhouse manf, design, or supplier in order to implement a solution.

* Lead NARS report correlation to ensure report and cost accuracy. Lead the reviewing the previous shifts reports and set direction for finalizing gaps in containment or technical analysis.

* Confirmation of sort Operation Standards. Ensure team has contacted supplier to report issues and requests corrective action

* Work with sorting contractors and suppliers to provide direction concerning quality issues. Lead the coordination of daily confirmation of sort effectiveness of current quality concerns

* Support associate technical training/mentorship, development plans

* Lead technical associate for all high time and high impact repair projects. Lead coordination and allocation of project resources.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

* 5+ Years of experience based on education and experience

Required Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or equivalent relevant experience.

Desired skills:

* Quality assurance, blueprint reading, part measurement, Catia/3D, MS office, negotiation, and communication skills.

* Ability to summarize complex analysis results and C/M activity

* Application of Honda Philosophy

* Ability to train new associates on problem solving - Analyze and breakdown to root cause (Engineering mindset)

Additional Position Factors:

* Open Office Environment, walking, sorting parts, limited travel, and overtime possible (approximately 4 hours of overtime per week)
