The purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day Quality Control requirements in support of the Quality Management System and act as a liaison between the operations and the Quality Manager.

•       Demonstrated understanding of all facility policies and general work practices

•       Demonstrated understanding of all quality procedures

•       Understands safety policies and perform safe work practices at all times.

•       Actively works with Quality Manager on identified non-conformities

•       Actively monitor product for conformity based on Job Specific Work Instructions and Control Plans.

•       Actively monitor print, insert, and product quality:

•       identify categories of non-conformances specific to print

•       identify categories of non-conformances specific to inserting identify categories of non-conformances specific to mail

•       Communicate identified non-conformances to the designated authority and escalate if necessary. Participate in problem resolution, where appropriate.

•       Develop a basic understanding of the manufacturing equipment and report equipment defects to management.

•       Document non-conformances using prescribed forms and procedures.

•       Upon request, balance (verify count) jobs by cross-referencing serial codes and performing basic mathematical calculations.

•       Record and verify work hours daily in the payroll system via time clock

•       Perform data collection, entry, and analysis in a tablet

•       Cross train in related disciplines to develop transferable skills

•       Report all safety incidents, injuries and near misses immediately

•       This job requires a high level of attention to detail and ability to stay focused in a dynamic environment.

•       Must possess the ability to read and understand written documents as they pertain to the Quality Management System.

 

Requirements:

•       General PC experience required.

•       Basic math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide

•       Possess the ability to use various measuring tools and templates

•       Effective communication skills.

•       Must have experience significant experience as an advanced operator or previous experience managing teams

·        Quality Audit experience preferred.

·        Minimum of 2-4 years production-related experience preferred.

·        High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
