The High Performance Concrete (HPC) Manager directs the efforts of the HPC team to support BURG's in their planning and execution of traditional, specialty, or advanced concrete products. In addition, this role is responsible for influencing and developing the competencies and capabilities of coworkers through processes, tools, information, and metrics to execute with excellence and achieve successful outcomes.

This position's location is flexible as they will support teams across the company. The High Performance Concrete Manager will consult with project teams, suppliers and partners to design educated solutions that meet customer needs while considering cost, quality, and risk factors of the job.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Knowledge and Expertise
    • Provides the technical knowledge and expertise for concrete ready-mix designs, associated products, placement procedures, and protective measures.
  1. Education
    • Develops, implements, evaluates, and continuously improves Lithko's concrete educational programs to deliver a cascading knowledge and comprehension to all our operational teams.
  1. Problem Resolution
    • Provides support to BURG's in resolving project specific challenges and mitigating similar future occurrences through appropriate communication and education across the organization.
  1. Innovative and Engineered Concrete Performance Solutions
    • Provides the technical knowledge and expertise for unique concrete products and systems to meet customer's needs. These types of solution include but are not limited to PrimX, Ductilcrete, Trylitics, etc.
  1. Sustainability
    • Provides the technical knowledge and expertise for sustainable approaches in concrete construction. These types of approaches include but are not limited to Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM), Portland Limestone Cement (PLC), Reclaimed Carbon (such as Carbon Cure), etc.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of technical specifications of various concrete mix designs and the associated means and methods for placement and finish.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to present to a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Ability to work effectively and influence across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Concrete Material Science and/or other construction-related field.
