Title: Atlassian Subject Matter Expert (SME) II

Location: On Site - Dayton, OH (Client Site)

Classification: Salary, Exempt

Travel: <20%

Security Requirement: Must possess a Secret security clearance with a Top Secret security clearance highly preferred.

Position Description:

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) seeks to create, sustain, and continuously enhance their digital services, capabilities, and solutions across the organization, providing useful, usable, efficient, and effective ways to manage and streamline their processes through the configuration of existing platforms and tools.

AFLCMC requires a contractor to deliver capabilities to provide Program Office support. The contractor shall incorporate relevant methodologies, including Customer Experience (CX), Human-Centered Design (HCD), User Experience (UX), and Human-Systems Integration (HSI), to cultivate deep empathy with stakeholders; generate ideas; build, test, and refine innovations; replicate and mature solutions; and achieve the scale required to accelerate the delivery of capabilities, streamline processes, and advance operations.


Position Expectations:

  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients, partners, teammates
  • Provide leadership to employees to support optimal performance
  • Contribute to the programs and initiatives designed to advance company strategic priorities

Duties:

  • Lead and manage installing and configuring, administering, and integrating Jira and Confluence products
  • Manage Atlassian Jira instances in both server and data center
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and various teams to implement Jira workflows and project configurations to improve efficiency.
  • Provide user management, training, and support for Atlassian Suite
  • Lead implementation, management, and support of products and plugins across the entire Atlassian suite of tools
  • Identify ways to optimize and improve Atlassian setup, process workflows as well as identify where functionality can or cannot meet user requests.
  • Develop performance indicators, dashboards, and advanced filters in Jira/Confluence to provide end-users and business leadership with informative data.
  • Provide recommendations to end users and leaders on standard practices and processes within the Atlassian Suite
  • Work with various teams to identify procedural efficiencies with workflows, custom fields, and other requirements
  • Transfer knowledge and help teams continuously reflect and improve processes, and becoming more effective in their roles by increasing outcomes, collaboration, and quality practices
  • Communicate effectively when reviewing customer requirements to be translated into technical requirements
  • Properly define/document new policies, run books, change requests, and requirements documents
  • Perform agile software development where work is managed in development sprints including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint execution, deployments and sprint retrospectives
  • Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Teams and management to enhance release planning, Agile ceremonies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
  • Ensure proper use and reporting of SBIR technologies as required on projects. This may include direct support for scenario input and/or analysis recommendations, documentation of use cases, identifying capability gaps, and providing recommendations for future enhancement
  • Additional duties' as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience administering and supporting JIRA and Confluence in a large enterprise environment
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in any of the following: business, economics, program management, math, or engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • JJR may choose to substitute education with relevant experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • One or more of the following certifications through Atlassian (Project Administrator for Cloud, Project Administrator for Server/Data Center, Jira Administrator for Cloud, Jira Administrator for Server/Data Center)
  • 6+ years' hands-on experience configuring, installing, administering, and integrating Jira projects and Confluence
  • Advanced industry recognized certifications related to Agile preferred; Agile SAFe certification
  • Background or history with User Experience (Ux), Customer Experience (Cx), and/or Human entered Design (HCD) work

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Salary: In accordance with various state and federal pay transparency regulations, as well as best industry practices, our job descriptions include the salary range we reasonably expect to pay those joining our team, contingent upon little to no training being required. A final salary is subject to a number of factors, including but not limited to the following: years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.


The range of pay for this position is $140,000-$185,000
