The University of Cincinnati, Hoxworth Blood Center (HBC) is recruiting for several part-time, Entry-Level Phlebotomist, Donor Care Technician 1 positions, in the Donor Services Division. The intended candidate will register and screen prospective blood donors and process blood donors at the Hoxworth Blood Center Neighborhood Donor Centers and Mobile Operations. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities.
We have several part-time (60-75% FTE, 24-30 hours per week) openings for our Mobile Units and in the following Neighborhood Donor Center locations:
Anderson, Blue Ash, North (West Chester, OH), Tri-County (Springdale, OH), and West (Bridgetown North, OH)
Varying shifts are available. Occasional holiday and rotating weekend shifts are required.
This position requires friendly, patient, reliable individuals that will be responsible for taking vital signs, performing venipuncture, and providing post-donation care for our community of volunteer blood donors. Experience in customer service and phlebotomy is ideal; excellent communication skills, a focus on quality, and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential. Valid driver's license with an acceptable record
