Purpose: The material handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations within the manufacturing facility. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing storage areas, assembly of tools, ensuring quality control and facilitating timely shipments in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.

Essential Duties and Requirements:

  • Material Transport: Receive raw material from receiving dock. Distribute, storage in accordance to the job card. Validate quantities and record information accurately in systems or documents and communicate discrepancies. Outsourcing, portioning raw materials, and preparing production according to job card. Collect material from production and store it. Collect chips from production an dispose them according to instructions.
  • Quality Control: Conduct simple inspections using standard measuring instruments/gauges for incoming and outgoing products and document it.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all material handling activities, including receipts, shipments, inventory adjustments, counts and labeling with using the provided software. Generate reports or provide information to supervisors as required.
  • Machine Maintenance: Monitor, adjust and address malfunctions and settings as necessary. Perform machine maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Collaborative Support: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate material flow, address any inventory-related issues, and ensure efficient operations.
  • Inventory Controls: Conduct regular cycle counts to verify physical inventory against system records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. Assist with year-end inventory audits as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Report any hazards or incidents promptly and participate in safety training programs.
  • Follow Guidelines/Systems
  • Adherence to all management systems.
  • Support for Continuous Improvement (CIP).
  • 6S: Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure "tour ready" status
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience a plus

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, crane, saw and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to follow proper safety protocols and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull up to 50lbs
  • Able to lift, bend, push and pull with ease
  • Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble product or machines as directed
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
