  • Estimated hourly base pay: $28.85(minimum) - $36.06(midpoint) - $43.27(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Facilities Electrician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Performs installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems and the equipment connected to these systems.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Plans new or modifies installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance, avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, and installs electrical wiring that meets all national and local electrical codes
  • Uses equipment manufacturer's' documentation and service specifications to calculate wire size, conduit size and current protection devices requirements
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit, using various tools
  • Pulls wiring through conduit, may be assisted by an electricians helper
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
  • Tests electrical circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, voltmeter and oscilloscope
  • Updates and maintains documentation in agreement with equipment and system changes

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma required
  • 5+ years' Experience of related work required
  • Journeyman Electrician License required
  • Valid driver's license
  • The ability to read and comprehend information found on schematics and blueprints
  • Solid understanding of all national, state, and local electrical codes, as well as the ability to perform the needed math functions
  • The ability to use a variety of test equipment and other tools related to the electrical trade
  • Proven track record in electrical techniques including electrical hardware, junction boxes and circuit breaker units, trace lines and reading wiring diagrams.
  • Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and complete repairs of equipment and electrical faults in commercial setting.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, continued education, and morning meetings.
  • Preferred PLC, VFD, Fire Alarm, low voltage & data communication experience.
  • Will be expected to have the ability to solve problems with limited guidance or input from others
