Vector Solutions is seeking a hands-on Cloud Architect with senior-level experience designing, implementing, securing and optimizing cloud-based solutions for our organization. You will collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures. This is a position on our Architecture Team and has visibility and impact across our entire suite of products.

What You'll Do:

• Design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Create architectural diagrams, documentation, and guidelines to communicate design and security decisions effectively.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and audit logging.
• Design security controls to protect data and resources from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS applications and services, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and optimize costs.
• Provide senior-level experience and guidance using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
• Evaluate existing and new applications for scalability, resiliency, security and automation gaps and work with teams on remediation.
• Contribute to Architecture and DevOps guilds.
• Collaborate across product teams to help them incorporate security and automation into their planning and continuous delivery process.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, QA, operations teams, and other stakeholders on cloud best practices and architectural principles.

• Lead adoption of best practices in software/infrastructure security and automation across the company.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
• 10+ years of experience working in development/operations teams.
• Advanced cloud implementation experience using compute, storage, networking, and security services on AWS
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)- Preferred
• One or more relevant industry certifications such as:- Preferred

1. AWS Certified Solutions Architect
2. AWS Certified Developer
3. AWS Certified Security Specialty

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
