Black Women United for Action (BWUFA) is a diverse, volunteer, non-profit community service organization whose mission is to advocate the concerns of women and improve the lives of impoverished, vulnerable families through a self-sufficiency/empowerment approach. By utilizing combined talents, BWUFA seeks to provide a variety of community programs and support services, through a grassroots “hands-on” method, to create positive change.

Catholic Social Services has a long and proud history of service to the community – over 90 years. While the services and programs we provide have changed through the years, our commitment to serving those in need has been a constant hallmark of our agency. The Dakota Center is a community service center primarily devoted to offering educational and social programs to youth, adults, and seniors on Dayton's West side. Our ultimate goal is to assist our clients to become self-reliant, productive citizens who contribute to the community.

We light the path to living violence free by responding, supporting and providing safe housing to victims of family violence; by informing Greene County citizens of the impact of family violence; and by revealing ways to prevent and overcome its consequences.

The primary mission of Mature Services is to promote successful aging by providing the highest quality programs and services to support, strengthen and empower adults as they age. The agency provides a broad range of social work, health, employment, volunteer, nutrition and chemical dependency services to older adults.

Assistance is available to Ohioans as they find their first, next or better job. There are many support services offered throughout the state.

Founded in 1949 to build opportunities and level the playing field, the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati is a private, non-profit organization. Our mission is to eliminate the barriers of racism and level the playing field for all African Americans and others at risk by promoting their economic self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship through effective leadership in the areas of comprehensive employment, youth and family development, and advocacy.
